Toni Lewis attended the GradNation conference sponsored by the America's Promise Alliance, Alma & Colin Powell's organization, at the Marriott Wardman Park in Washington DC.

Grad Nation is a national movement to mobilize Americans to end the high school dropout crisis and prepare young people for college and the 21st century workforce. The conference brought together 800+ education stakeholders (corporations, nonprofits, schools, teachers, politicians, etc) to discuss solutions to this challenging crisis in America (every 26 seconds a child drops out of school in America).

Toni had an opportunity to chat with Governor O'malley about FAME and its efforts to be a part of the solution.
